The Quiet Book

It's finally finished!! I have been working on Monkey's quiet book for almost a month. The reason it took so long, is because my sewing machine decided to stop working. (It is a second hand machine my mom gave me that she bought about 25 years ago...) So the entire book, excluding sewing the pages to one another, is sewn by hand. I was kind of worried that after all that work, Monkey wouldn't like it. WRONG! We took it to church on Sunday and it was the most quiet Sacrament meeting we've had since
Monkey's birth! I was completely relieved and very happy =)

Page 1-2: Barn and Finger Puppet Animals
I used a template from Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows for these 2 pages.

Page 3: Zipper Alligator
The alligator's mouth unzips where the fish are hiding!

Page 4: Chloe the Boxer
I designed this page to look like our Boxer named Chloe.
The collar clips/unclips and you can attach/detach the leash!

 Page 5: Dinosaur Matching
Match the shapes using Velcro

Page 6: My Name Is...
This page uses snaps to match the letters and colors of Monkey's name

Page 7 & 8: Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head
I also used a template from Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows for this page.

Page 9 & 10: Button Flowers and Coloring page
The Flowers on page 9 have two layers that attach using buttons.
The coloring page is Monkey's favorite! It has enough spaces for 6 large crayons.

I am really happy with how my Quiet Book turned out. It is impossible to pick a favorite page! I hope the amount of time it took to make my first book will not scare me from making more!! Please feel free to leave comments because I'd love to hear what you think or any suggestions you might have.
