Pros vs. Cons

This past week has been a little rough... I have a small case of the blues due to cabin fever. I decided I need to air out my ill feelings and also make myself aware of the things I have to be grateful for! (They are in no particular order...)

Top 10 things I LOVE about living in an RV...

1. It takes less than 2 hours to clean the entire trailer from top to bottom. Literally!
2. We are able to tag along with my husband as his job moves all over the state. A lot of the other families stay in hotels or the wife and kids stay behind. I'm grateful we can be together and keep all of our stuff with us.

3. I am able finish ALL the laundry in about 2 hours. Most of the RV parks have laundry rooms so I can wash and dry all the loads at the same time. And because they all have big folding tables, I fold it straight out of the dryer which eliminates wrinkling and baskets of clothes that sit for days...
4. No matter where I am at in the trailer, I can always have at least one eyeball on Monkey! =)
5. It takes less than 15 minutes to cook 3 baked potatoes in the convection/microwave oven. Without that kind of rubbery taste that they get when simply microwaved.
6. If we want to go for a weekend away, we can take our house!!
7. All 3 of us are together all of the time! I'm pretty sure I'm the only one grateful for that...
8. One of my favorite parts of living in a camping trailer is the look on peoples faces when I tell them that I live in a camping trailer! Haha...
9. It costs quite a bit less than it does to live in a house.
10. I have more time to be CRAFTY!
*Bonus. We get FREE TV!! You can't beat that.

Top 10 things I DISLIKE about living in an RV...

1. The hot water tank is tiny!! Showers cannot last longer than 15 min. And you have to wait 2 hours in between uses.
2. I cannot figure out how to bake brownies in the convection/microwave oven! They come out as really hot batter every time! Or the bottom is burnt and the top isn't cooked at all. But everything else comes out fine! Most of the time...
3. Monkey doesn't have a lot of room to run around. But he tries to anyway!!
4. It only takes a few minutes for it to become a disaster! Especially for a 1 1/2 year old...
5. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal =(
6. The bathroom is in our bedroom. Yes, I know most master bedrooms have bathrooms in them, but when I open the shower door, it hits my side of the bed...
7. It costs a fortune to heat in the winter!!
8. There isn't enough room for quilting... Or for my scrap booking supplies... In fact, I had to put my entire craft room in storage and I'm pretty sad about that.
9. I cannot go clothes shopping because there is no room for new clothes. (I guess I'm going to have to do the 6 month hanger challenge)
10. I have ZERO counter space in the kitchen. And if I even think about skipping doing the dishes, it becomes impossible to make dinner.

Hopefully in a month or two I will be able to update this post. I'm also crossing my fingers that I will be adding to the things I love and not to the dislikes list...
